Keystone State Literacy Association Capital Area is a local council of the International Literacy Association and the Keystone State Literacy Association, serving Harrisburg, PA and the surrounding area. The council was formed in 1966 as the Capital Reading Council and celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2016. In 2018, Capital Reading Council changed its name to Keystone State Literacy Association Capital Area. KSLA Capital Area has received the Exemplary Council and President's Leadership Award from the Keystone State Literacy Association. The International Literacy Association has awarded Honor Council status to KSLA Capital Area.
